CFD Director’s Message 8.23.23

“There is no power greater than a community discovering what it cares about. Ask: “What’s possible?” not “What’s wrong?” Keep asking. Notice what you care about. Assume that many others share your dreams.” – Margaret Wheatley

The beginning of a new church year, especially one with a new minister, is a time of much reflection and imagination around what has previously happened and what is possible. All year, may we carry that energy forward as we continue to envision the best version of our space – one that is welcoming, creative, meaningful, and joyous.

I look forward to being present for Children’s Chapel alongside Danielle this week, providing programming for school-age kids. Keri will be in the nursery providing care for babies and toddlers.

The following Sunday, UUFM is closed for Labor Day weekend, and on Sunday, September 10th, we get to celebrate the official kickoff to a new church year with a new minister. I will have backpack blessings I plan to make with the help of Deb and Barb and tie-dye supplies for folks to use that day – so please bring something to dye!

Thank you for reading. I hope to see you soon.

Best regards,
