Although my second year here officially began on August 6th, this past weekend really felt like the beginning of year two. It was my second time representing UUFM at PrideFest, and my second time leading our ingathering worship with a backpack blessing and water ceremony. I’m very excited to see what we do together in this second year of our shared ministry!
Our Director of Children’s Faith Development, Macey Forsyth, co-led worship with me Sunday, and the response was very positive. She did a great job—and I have good news! She will be co-leading worship with me on the first Sunday of each month, as we launch each month’s Soul Matters theme with a multigenerational service.
In October, there will be two Sunday afternoon events I want to draw your attention to: a class for anyone wanting to learn more about Unitarian Universalism and UUFM (including those who are discerning whether or not they are ready to officially become UUFM members), and a worship workshop for anyone interested in any role in Sunday morning worship. More details will come soon about these two October opportunities!
This is just the beginning of what I believe will be an engaging, exciting year here at UUFM. Thank you for all the ways that you make that possible!
In gratitude,
Rev. Diana
