As we kick off the church year and the monthly theme of Building Belonging, we celebrate with Ingathering, our Backpack Blessing ceremony, and a time for young adults to connect over charcuterie following Sunday coffee hour, in addition to Pride at Riverfront Park this weekend! There is much to look forward to and many connections to be made. As I craft our service and materials this week, I have much reverence and hope in my heart for all of the seemingly small ways the work we put into Building Belonging in our church and wider community weaves a closer web, one thread at a time.

 

May we not underestimate the impact and the magic of showing up, courageously, authentically, imperfectly, and lovingly, as exactly who we are. Remind us that this is what connects us. Help us to be present through all of the fears and vulnerability that inevitably arises. Make us stronger together.
