Our hearts are breaking as we witness and experience tragedy upon tragedy unfolding in our world. The pain of this heartbreak can be excruciating, even debilitating, taking hold of our attention and pinning us to our despair. But our broken hearts also reflect the deeper truth that things are not as they should be, offering us all the opportunity to make new choices about how we will live and love. In this service, we’ll work through “breaking up” with the systems and patterns of harm and control that wound our communities, explore the transformative potential of disintegration, and when we’re reading to get out there again, start flirting—maybe even falling in love—with our collective liberation.
