Still I Rise

Maya Angelou’s poem Still I Rise states in part:
“Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
into a daybreak that’s wondrously clear
I rise”

This is a poet who understands compassion, who cultivates it for all. We will discuss her sage advice “You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”
