In a faith tradition that claims that our worth and belonging is inherent, what does it mean to truly build community? At times, it can seem quite complicated, uncomfortable, and challenging, but within this worship service will be a call to recommit to that process. We will explore how the challenges of building community are full of opportunities to continually, humbly develop a sturdier foundation of relational skills, such as deep listening, communicating clearly, engaging in generative conflict, practicing accountability, and growing to be more radically inclusive and welcoming. Like collaboratively building and restoring covenants, building community is a process, not a destination.

 

 

This will be a multigeneration service and there will not be Children’s Chapel this Sunday, however Nursery service will be available.
