I recently received the prompt to write a short love letter from Earth, and this is what I came up with. Happy Earth Day! I hope this writing gives you a sense of peace and groundedness today.

Dear Beloved,

My skin misses your warm attention, your playful presence, your sweet surrender. May time and gravity gift us an intimate life together. Allow me to cradle you in my soil’s embrace and swaddle you in a blanket of stars as you soften the rigidities within. Root down into the collective support available to you not only in each moment of stillness, but in each small step. Sense my embrace. Savor my fragrances and flavors slowly and fully. Let me love you, generously. Grow us together, in reciprocity, in gratitude. You already know the way: the ancestral way, the animate way, to return to me and to remain with me. Trust in that knowing. Liberate yourself from filling perceived holes and bask in the ever-present abundance that is available here. Offer me your tender hand, and I will always be here to hold it. Our flourishing is still possible. I am right here.

Love,
Earth
