Dr. Katie Boone will be sharing a heartfelt invitation to engage with and support the Makatoh Reconciliation and Healing Youth Horse Ride this December. This 330 mile, 16-day ceremonial horse ride comes to our community every December. The rides have been coming since 2005, to honor and remember the Dakota 38 who were hanged in our downtown by the order of President Lincoln on December 26, 1862. You’ll learn more about the history of what happened here, why it happened, and what the Makatoh Reconciliation and Healing Youth Horse Ride is doing to build community by working together as good relatives to support truth, healing, and reconciliation work here in our community of Mahkato (Mankato), Mni Sota (Minnesota) and beyond.
Children’s Programs ( Nursery and Children’s Chapel) are up and running.
Join us after the service for in-person hospitality downstairs in the Fellowship Hall.
