It was a real pleasure seeing people file into the building on Sunday for our first in person service in a very long time. Some would say too long. As a testament to how much attendees enjoyed the experience, we had to gently encourage people to leave in honor of our decision to not allow people to congregate in the building after conclusion of the service. Everyone complied, even though it was a bit chilly outside.
Just a reminder: we are not officially reopened. This will only occur when our regional positivity rate drops below five percent for a period of two weeks, a decision made by the Board of Directors last summer. Until we reach that threshold, Sunday Services will continue to be offered, as they were this past Sunday—in-person for those that are vaccinated, masked, & distanced & Zoom for everyone else. Once we’re completed reopened, restrictions will be lifted & we’ll once again be able to roam the building unhindered joining one another for coffee and conversation in the Fellowship Hall.
Until we are all back together in person please take advantage of one or all of the social interaction opportunities listed in the Weekly Update and on the website. They have been made available to us through efforts of dedicated volunteers looking at activities and means to keep us connected. And, if you have ideas for other ways to keep us connected to one another, please let us know.
