UUFM Core Commitments

” Justice is what love looks like in public.” -Cornell West

We have decades-long legacy of educating ourselves to be good allies and co-conspirators for liberation, showing up in protest and solidarity to further justice and equity. Together, we strive to act on our shared values, expressions of our principals.

Our efforts honor the interconnectedness of all life as we act in partnership with groups and communities most impacted by injustice on local, state, national, and international levels.

We focus on five Core Commitments, which we enact through education, solidarity, advocacy, and giving. These are

  1. Gender and Sexuality Justice, with actions organized by the Pride Team
  2. Earth Justice, with actions organized by the Green Sanctuary Team
  3. Antiracism, with actions organized by the EdJ Coordinating Council
  4. Economic Equity, with actions organized by the EdJ Coordinating Council
  5. Voting Rights and Access, with actions organized by the Healing Democracy Team

The Education and Justice (EdJ) Coordinating Council oversees our work for justice, with individual Teams working on specific issues. The current teams are:
