Path to Membership Classes

Working together, the Minister and the Connections Team have created a series of classes to introduce newcomers and long-timers alike to the theologies and history of our Unitarian Universalist Faith Tradition. You can take them in any order, and we do recommend one or more as you consider joining our religious community. All three classes are offered both in the fall as well as in spring.

UU101: Unitarian Universalist Identity, an overview of our UU tradition, principles, values, and implications for our faith in the world today. Class offered on Sunday, October 6, 2019 and Sunday, February 2, 2020. Both classes at 12 noon after worship service. Child care is available.

UU201: Unitarian Universalist Histories and Theologies, an evocative and invitational, rather than comprehensive, tour through both the history of Unitarians, Universalists, and Unitarian Universalists, as well as consideration of some of the theologies informing our contemporary religious practices. Class offered on Sunday, October 20, 2019 and Sunday, February 16, 2020. Both classes at 12 noon after worship service. Child care is available.

UU301: Unitarian Universalist Controversies, a look at how congregations and the denomination have grappled through time with important justice causes. Class offered Sunday, December 8, 2019 and April 19, 2020. Both classes at 12 noon after worship service. Child care is available.
