Every year around this time, I find myself wondering how it can be nearly June, and where the spring went! I said to a few of you in the last week or two that from Easter to General Assembly in June it feels a bit like I am a stone rolling down a hill, picking up speed as I go!
This time of year is also full of checklists for me: things I want to be sure I get done before the congregational year ends. There is one you can help me with, if you are interested!
In a couple of weeks, I will be headed to General Assembly in Baltimore—and it is not too late for you to decide to participate, either in person or online! We are entitled to two lay delegates (in addition to me) and so far no volunteers have come forward.
A few key details:
- If you want to serve as a delegate but finances are holding you back, come see me and we will get that taken care of. Money should not be an obstacle to participation!
- There are several levels of registration, and to be a delegate you can choose any of them, including “business only” which allows you to vote but not attend workshops or other events. You’ll find information at https://www.uua.org/ga/registration
I’m happy to talk about why I love GA so much and think every UU should participate at least once! Let’s chat!
In gratitude,
Rev. Diana
