Resuming Second Collections

In order to remind us to live through a spirit of abundance and generosity, the Education and Justice Team is resuming the UUFM tradition of Second Collections five times a year in alternate months. Our first Second Collection of the new church year will happen on October 18 and October 25, and our recipient is Minnesota Unitarian Universalist Social Justice Alliance, also known as MUUSJA. MUUSJA organizes social action for UU congregations throughout Minnesota and the Dakotas, amplifying the good work of individual congregations and inviting others to join efforts, as well as organizing congregations on initiatives like UU the Vote. Rev. Rita sits on the Board, and UUFM won MUUSJA’s Social Justice Award in 2018. Please make your donations to the Fellowship though check or PayPal, indicating MUUSJA as the recipient of the donation. We anticipate matching funds, and so sending all donations as a block increases the likely hood we will be matched.

Since September of 2006, we have raised $58,515 for different community and UUA organizations. Thanks for your continued generosity.
