Foundational Compassion

“The harder I tried to sever ties with the person I had been, the more I found myself embodying that self. Only when I began to offer Old Me compassion, kindness, and love did a more permeating sense of freedom begin to emerge.” -Andrea Gibson

We will explore practices of stillness, creativity, and connection to self as tools to sustain and grow our capacity for compassion. Drawing inspiration from the poetry of Andrea Gibson, Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way, and Internal Family Systems work of Richard Schwartz, participants will be invited to get curious about the ways our internal landscapes shape how we arrive to community with tender care in our hearts.
