MLK’s Visit to Mankato Dec. 1961 and the Greater Mankato Diversity Council

It would be easy to see the month of November as niceness as we reflect on the call of generosity.   After all, for many, the call of generosity is equated with the call to be kind. But, generosity doesn’t just brighten our days; it’s transformative.  It changes how we relate to life.  Sunday, November 19th’s UUFM Worship Service will reflect on the transformative power of generosity as we remember the historical visit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s historical visit to Mankato on November 12, 1961 and the work of The Greater Mankato Diversity Council (GMDC) today.  Our speaker is Mohamed Alsadig, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of GMDC.
