Vernal Equinox – Change and Chaos

To many cultures around the world the Spring equinox marks a very important spiritual time for the faithful. No single religion can lay sole claim to this very unique event. While Christians gather the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Vernal equinox, marking the resurrection of Jesus.  Hindu’s celebrate Holi, the festival of colors, love and spring marking both divine love and victory of good over evil. And at the same time Buddhist’s are celebrating Vesak marking the birth, enlightenment and death of the Buddha. Just to highlight three but there are many more.

For thousands of years prior these celebrations, the Vernal equinox signaled the beginning of the season of rebirth, the resurrection of nature and of many a Pagan God and Goddess.

Today in this modern world the Vernal still impacts both the natural world and the spiritual however you choose to see it. The balance of Light and dark is the same all over our globe and with that balance the chaos of change happens and that ancient magic will bring spring to our land.

Children’s programs (Nursery and Children’s Chapel) are up and running.
