Living into Mystery

Rabbi Lawrence Kushner claims that “A mystic is anyone who has the gnawing suspicion that the apparent discord, brokenness, contradictions, and discontinuities that assault us every day might conceal a hidden unity.” Undoubtedly, we are all mystics, we have all had that feeling of connection and wholeness. How is it that can we know without having the answers? How can we feel part of a larger whole when we cannot see the connections? What is the value of living into mystery, especially in a world filled with apparently unsolvable problems and injustices?
