Wellspring Cloth Project
A Joint Venture Between UUFM and Wellspring Woolens.
Rev. Rita and UUFM congregant and owner of Wellspring Woolens Melinda Kjarum bring to the Fellowship a project uniting compassionate care, companionship in learning, and environmental justice. The project includes all generations of the Fellowship and requires turning old T-shirts into yarn (keeping them out of landfills), knitting washcloths (an identified need and we will teach you to knit if you don’t know how), packaging a gift, and sending the donations to a Community Partner. Our first Community Partner was My Place (formerly the Boys and Girls Club).
Through this green, creative project, we build community within our congregation and among our neighbors in Greater Mankato. You can read more about the value of this project by clicking here:.Community Partners-Wellspring Cloth Project Letter
