“Human beings are works in progress that mistakenly think they’re finished.”- Daniel Gilbert
Have you ever heard of imaginal cells? Something we know about the mysterious, wonderful process of caterpillars moving through their chrysalis phase on their way to becoming butterflies is that these cells are necessary. They are a kind of blueprint. What is most interesting is that the caterpillars immune system actually attempts to destroy them.
It’s similar to a resistance that we, as humans, might experience as we move through significant transformation. No matter where you’re at on your journey, please be kind to yourself, knowing that growth is often not linear, change sometimes feels daunting, and until you reach the end of your life, there is no way of knowing all of who you are.
