I hope you all are doing well and that you have not had too much added stress at home with the flooding in recent weeks. It was both a relief to have some time off up north, but also a little worrisome to sit and wonder if our basement was dry. Thankfully, our neighbors and friends looked out for us and we avoided any major problems. While summer is historically quiet at UUFM and you likely have some summer activities going on, I hope to see you again soon. Read on for an update on what is coming so soon:
The Fun Days Parade is next week, Saturday, July 13th, and UUFM is signed up to be in it.
We could use participants who can be available from 10:30am-1:30pm. Please contact Macey if you are interested!
Our next Wednesday evening Intergenerational Art Journaling group will meet on Wednesday, July 17th from 6:30-8pm. Please RSVP at the link below:
Keep an eye out for messages about activities after coffee hour in the weeks to come, as well! Depending on the weather, some of what we have been brainstorming includes games, a bike ride, a craft, or an educational experience. If you have an activity for all ages you’d like to host, please contact Macey!
It may also be noted that my hours were slightly increased, and I am in conversation with Rev Diana about how I will best utilize them. This fall, one hope is that I may be able to host more young adult groups. Time will tell what sticks!
My in-person hours are fluctuating at the moment, as I balance caring for my 2-year-old (whose father works rotating shifts) while working part-time, but I am excited for some childcare possibilities I am in conversation about right now that should allow me to strike a healthier balance, greater consistency, and more ease. I expect that sometime this August, I will announce my updated in-person hours.
Thank you for your support, encouragement, and ideas as we co-create a sacred and joyful space together.
