May 17, 2023 Minister’s Message

Dear Ones,

The Soul Matters theme for the month of May is Creativity, and what a great topic to explore as the Fellowship engages transition and transformation.

So many wonderful things are happening here—New Members and Children to dedicate to the care of our community, volunteer efforts to raise money and make the fellowship beautiful, new leaders willing to set direction for the future. The Fellowship is a good box—sturdy, determined, mindful of its past and future.

And from a strong foundation, you can think outside the box, too, dreaming new ways for the Fellowship to show the community what we are all about, new ways of welcoming and including newcomers in the life of the congregation, new ways to make use of the building and grounds in overtly mission-centered ways.

As the Fellowship changes, remember your deepest desires for a world made good. Look for the ways to let that goodness show to others. Then the good reality can become the one reflected back to you, showing you once more who you are and how this Fellowship makes a difference in a hurting world. I pray you heed that call to co-creation as you remember that you are loved, you are worthy, you are welcome, and you are needed. May you feel it so and may it be so.

Blessings and warm wishes, Rev. Rita
