The purpose of the Connections committee is to embody the principles and values of Unitarian Universalism by:
- warmly welcoming all visitors and assisting new members to feel included and valued;
- providing opportunities that spur curiosity and provide spiritual/educational offerings for UUFM members and the broader community
Job Description:
The Connections Committee will be responsible for:
- Assisting the minister in welcoming guests and new members and integrating them into the congregation
- Maintain a range of informational material on Unitarian Universalism for guests and incoming members
- Organize greeters for Sunday morning
- Maintain records of membership and visitors
- Organize and promote educational opportunities that focus both on faith development and social justice
Communication Plan (with other committees, staff and the Board of Directors):
The Connections Committee will attend and actively participate in the quarterly Committee Council meetings. Communication with the Board will be on an as-needed basis. Regular communication with minister and office administrator will be essential.
