Minister’s Message

We all need a circle of care, a circle of belonging. These words of Starhawk make this claim so beautifully:
Somewhere, there are people to whom we can speak with passion without having the words catch in our throats. Somewhere a circle of hands will open to receive us, eyes will light up as we enter, voices will celebrate with us whenever we come into our own power. Community means strength that joins our strength to do the work that needs to be done. Arms to hold us when we falter. A circle of healing. A circle of friends. Someplace where we can be free.

A circle in which we are welcome and welcomed. Can you reflect on who you welcome into the circle, who you celebrate, whose strength you bring to join to the strength already present? May you enjoy the circle of UUFM as you also work to make it wider and more inclusive, as you remember, today and every day, that you are loved, you are worthy, you are welcome, and you are needed. May you feel it so, and may it be so.

With blessings and best wishes, Rev. Rita
