Dear Friends,

I offer you this week a beautiful poem by Lucille Clifton called the “Blessing the Boats.” May it lift you as the stream of life takes you on your journey, where sometimes you steer and paddle and sometimes the tides and currents are all that keeps you moving.

may the tide
that is entering even now
the lip of our understanding
carry you out
beyond the face of fear
may you kiss
the wind then turn from it
certain that it will
love your back   may you
open your eyes to water
water waving forever
and may you in your innocence
sail through this to that

 

Sail, friends, from this to that as you remember, today and every day, that you are loved, your are worthy, you are welcome, and you are needed. May you feel it so, and may it be so.
