Why are the transitions in our lives often some of the most difficult times we will ever experience? Whether they mark a loss or a gain, whether they are exciting or mournful, whether they are all of these things at the same time, transitions can shake us.
With the Blessing of the Backpacks, we honor our children and their brave new beginnings. We honor our own struggles and victories with transitions. And we honor the life of Dan Preska, who passed away July 12 — husband of member Margaret Preska. The Preska family will attend and offer a catered luncheon following the service.
