Find the Other Way

In New York City stands a building raised by those who emerged shaken and scarred from the war that ended in 1945.  The building itself, with its fluttering mantle of flags from all nations, is an icon recognized around the globe.  But it is the institution, and the concept underlying it, which constitutes that generation’s plea to their successors – “find the other way” (Roosevelt and Churchill)
