Ingathering/Water Communion: Relationship with Our Building and Each Other

Though we cannot yet worship in each other’s embodied presence, fortunately, technology enables us to safely gather. Today, we celebrate our continuation as a multi-faceted congregation—long timers and newcomers, those comfortable online and those struggling. How does it feel, in the body and in the spirit? What do we celebrate, and what do we mourn? How do we move forward as a gathered people? All of this we explore together with music, readings, ritual, and reflection.

I invite all of you to consider who you have been missing, who has not been in Zoom worship for any number of reasons. And I invite you to invite them to a “watch party.” Prepare a few snacks, open your home to those you feel comfortable allowing into your pod, and worship together.

Our space is virtual, but our worship is real, vital, and life-sustaining.
