The Transgender Faith Tour is making a stop at the UUFM in Mankato on March 19th. Coming all the way from Topeka, Kansas, Stephanie Mott believes that all persons are worthy of dignity and respect. As much as all of these things means to her, the great gift of authenticity is that she has discovered a relationship with God that is more amazing and wonderful than she could have possibly imagined. Stephanie remembers, “I had two sisters and two brothers. The first thing she remembers knowing about herself was that she was like her sisters on the inside, and her brothers on the outside.” Stephanie felt as though there was something drastically wrong with her and that she could not talk to anyone about her feelings. She has had the great honor to share her faith journey in many places, and she feels called to continue down this path, wherever it leads her. Stephanie has shared her message with numerous Unitarian Universalist churches around the country and is excited to make a stop in Mankato.
