Many of us have played that children’s game “One of These Things is not Like the Others,” a game that invites us to find the common thing and to exclude that which seems not to belong. Imagine that as a next step, we moved from attention to difference toward new categories, ones that seek relationship and move away from judgment. What might it mean materially and spiritually to live with such attention?
