The UUFM is the recipient of a Chalice Lighter grant!

This Monday, MidAmerica Region representative the Rev. Phil Lund announced the Spring 2021 award of $10,000 to support purchase and installation of video technology in our sanctuary and technology training for staff and volunteers.  Our past Board President Tony Filipovitch submitted the grant, based upon the Technology Committee assessment of needs and with the support of our ministry partners in Hanska, Northfield, Fridley, Bloomington, and Minnetonka. Thanks to all who helped make this happen. Our future begins to open again!

UUFM Sanctuary

Fall, Winter, and Spring, Mid-America awards a Chalice Lighter Grant to a single congregation in the 12-state area proposing a growth project that evaluators deem most worthy of support.  Grants are funded by small donations from individuals in the region. The Spring 2021 round was the 3rd time UUFM submitted our technology proposal for consideration.  We are grateful for the active involvement of many who contributed to this successful effort.

Please support the Chalice Lighter program through a donation at Chalice Lighters | MidAmerica Region | UUA.org. Your contribution supports prior recipients and keeps the donations “paid forward.”
